Self Portrait

After I finished this piece my favorite part was the glasses. I think that it really makes the self portrait look like me. My least favorite part is the neck. As I look at it now there are a few things that would change to it. The goal of the project is to create a realistic drawing of yourself. I think that I achieved this because when I look at it I think it looks like me. I think that this piece will encourage me to work even harder on my future projects.

Food Painting

In this project we used oil paints to paint a painting of a food of our choice. I was inspired to do coffee because it is something that I enjoy. This is meaningful to me because I am really impressed with myself and am excited to show people this painting. My favorite part is the milk being poured into. My least favorite part is the lid. I would change the shape and color of it if I could change it. For my future projects this project will inspire me to try and find my unique painting style.

Scratch Art

For this project we used an X-acto knife to scratch at an animal of our choice. I choose a photo of a bear. I was inspired to this because it reminded me of a project I did in elementary school. My favorite part is the nose. From far away it looks realistic and has a lot of detail up close. My least favorite part are the ears. They are just a bit to light, and once you scratch it you cant draw it back. For future projects this will inspire me to pay close attention to detail, but to also not over think it when I am about to start.

Car Color pencil drawing

I had a little bit of trouble picking out a vehicle to draw. But after a long search I found this one. I liked it because of the color and it was a car that I have never seen before. My favorite part is the whole back. The window and license plate look the most realistic to me. My least favorite part is the tires. They were something I put off until the end and decided to get any help for. For future projects I will not hesitate to ask for help and not be afraid to conquer the hard parts of a drawing or painting.

water color painting

For this project we choose a photo of architecture and painted it using water color. I choose this photo because I thought it was cool and looked like a house that would be in France. My favorite part is the shutters. I really like the color and they were fun to do. My least favorite part was the windows and the tree. I struggled with layering. Next time I would make sure to spend more time on layering so that it does not look flat. I think that this project will encourage me for future projects to not rush and to still be happy with the final result.
