A skill that I used during this project was to use oil paint, I also learned to add colors together on the painting to add a realistic look. I was inspired to make this painting because I enjoy using different techniques to make food that is often eaten for breakfast for instance, toast can be eaten with many different things. This project turned out just as I hoped, my favorite part was the tomatoes, and my least favorite was the newspaper.
This is my self portrait it was the first project and I worked on it over a span of 9 weeks. The hardest part of this project was the hair, and the easiest part was the mouth. The hair took a lot of time because each individual section needed to have highlights and shadows. The part that I most enjoyed doing was the face because I got to use the different tools to give it texture.
In this project I chose to do a dog, over this period of time we learned to use plexiglass and a scratcher. One of my favorite things is getting to choose what I scratch in my project. It took a while to scratch as many details as I could to make the dog's dark spots stand out. The worst part about this project was printing as it got messy and the ink gets everywhere. In conclusion, this project gave me a chance to use texture to make the dog further stand out.
