For our first quarter project, we were instructed to choose something that would represent us. This project was my very first in the CVC art department and to be completely honest, I hated it. They are two small canvases with the backs of my crewneck sweatshirts on them. I am a girl of simple pleasures and crewnecks are one of them. Most days I can be found in one of my multiple crewnecks and while I loved the idea, I struggled with almost every aspect of this project and was very vocal about it. In the end, I am happier than I expected with the result, but these canvases will not be on display as long as I have a say in it.

I didn't enjoy this project very much, but I am pleased with the results. The hardest part was figuring out the right angle to draw the lines at to make it look real but once I got the hang of that it was pretty simple.

This project had to include words. I chose the painting a pun option and I'm not really sure why because I do not enjoy acrylic paint. I did not look forward to coming to 6th period art and working on this project. But, I am actually very happy with the result. I think the gummy bear is recognizable and the lines are nice and crisp and the background blends nicely.
