What is the District Board?
The Indiana District Board (INDB for short) is made up of a group of Key Clubbers from across the state who decided to take their leadership to the next level. Positions on the INDB include Lieutenant Governor, Webmaster, Bulletin Editor, Secretary-Treasurer, and Governor. If you think being on the district board is something you'd be interested in, this page will teach you some of the basics of each position.
Lieutenant Governor
Lieutenant Governors (LtGs) primary focus is communicating between the district level and the club level. As a LtG, you would serve your designated division at the district level, representing 4-5 clubs from your respective area, be a member of one of the district committees, and much more. Some requirements for this position include:
Attending bi-monthly board meetings in Indianapolis
Attend committee meetings scheduled by the committee chair
Communicate with the schools in your division regularly
Have 5 Division Council Meetings
Host a division-wide service project
Make and send out monthly newsletters
Executive Bord
Aside from LtG, four other positions make up the Executive Board for the Indiana District. Executive roles include the District Governor, District Secretary-Treasurer, District Bulletin Editor, and District Webmaster. Each has its unique role on the INDB, as well as a few common roles such as:
Attend bi-weekly Exec & Adult Admin meetings
Attend bi-monthly board meetings
Oversee the LtGs/make sure they're keeping up with their work
Be a resource for LtGs when they need help
Grade LtG newsletters before they get sent out (Bulletin Editor & Webmaster only)
Keep track and update the LtGs' Incentive Chart
District Governor
The District Governor is the main leader of the Indiana District. To put it simply, think kind of like a Club President, but rather than serving a club, they serve the entire district. Some of the Governor's main responsibilities include:
Planning & leading board meetings
Send out at minimum bi-weekly communication to the INDB
Host a district-wide service project
District Secretary-Treasurer
The District Secretary-Treasurer is mainly responsible for the financial and informational aspects of the district. Some of their responsibilities include:
Create & monitor the district budget
Take attendance and meeting minutes at board meetings
District Bulletin Editor
The main responsibility of the District Bulletin Editor is creating the District Magazine but their role expands beyond this task. Some of their responsibilities include:
Create & publish 5 editions of Key News, the District Magazine
Design the Indiana District's pin for ICON
Design the INDB crewnecks
District Webmaster
The District Webmaster primarily focuses on keeping the Indiana District's online presence up-to-date and appealing. Some of their responsibilities include:
Keep the District Website up to date
Run the district's social media accounts
Create content/graphics to be posted to district/division socials.
