Key Club International (KCI) is a student-led, service-based organization for high school students. In Key Club, you will learn leadership skills as you work together to build your home, school, and community. With over 5,000 clubs spread across 45 countries worldwide, Key Club continues to impact the lives of so many high school students.
How is this connected to Crown Point?
As you know Crown Point has one of many Key Clubs around the world. But you may be wondering how exactly we're connected to such a large organization. Let's break down what goes on beyond the club level.
Arrowhead Division
Every Key Club is a part of a division represented by someone called a Lieutenant Governor (LtG for short). Each division has their own name and Crown Point would be within the Arrowhead Division. Our Arrowhead LtG for the 2024-2025 service year is also our club's president CeCe Chenore! Each division contains a few clubs. Other Clubs in Arrowhead include: Boone Grove, Morgan Township, and Hanover Central. Anyone from a school within the division is allowed to run for LtG each January and the winner is voted on by others in the division.
Indiana District
All clubs in Indiana make up the Indiana Districts within KCI. The district is sort of like the middle ground between clubs and international. the Indiana District consists of a District Board, which includes all the LtGs, a Governor, a Sectretary-Treasurer, a Webmaster, a Bulletin Editor, and an Adult Admin team. The Indiana District Board (INDB) works hard to communicate information to the district through the LtGs as well as provide resources and support in areas clubs may need. If you want to learn more about the Indiana District, check out the Indiana District Website!
International
That brings us to the international level! This is the broadest spectrum of KCI. The International board consists of the International President and Vice President, as well as International Trustees. They are the people behind what goes on for Key Clubs around the globe as well as control any partnerships KCI has with other organizations such as: UNICEF, Schoolhouse, Erika's Lighthouse, and Thirst Project!
