Week 1: Ravens vs Bills
1st Half: The Buffalo Bills hosted the Baltimore Ravens beginning the last home opener at Highmark Stadium. To start, the Bills looked great driving down the field and scored a touchdown with Dalton Kincaid. This momentum changed quickly, however.
After 17 unanswered points from the Ravens, including rushing touchdowns from Derrick Henry and Lamar Jackson, the Ravens were up 20-10. The Bills’ banged up defense couldn't find an answer to stop them as they scored every drive. The sequence of plays before the end of the first had changed the game. With 6 seconds left, Josh Allen threw a dart to Dalton Kincaid who got out of bounds to stop the clock with 1 second left. Then Matt Prater was able to kick a field goal to keep the game within one possession at 20-13 Ravens.
2nd Half: As things began to look more promising for the Bills, the Ravens kept their electric performance up. Zay Flowers concluded a quick four-play drive with a touchdown. Right after, the Bills responded with a James Cook rushing touchdown. They attempted a two-point conversion but were unsuccessful. Again, the Bills’ defense let up another quick drive; this time, DeAndre Hopkins hauled in a touchdown for one of the best catches of the season so far. By the 4th quarter, Derrick Henry scored another touchdown and put up more yards to his already 170 on the ground. However, Baltimore missed the extra point keeping the Bills in the game. This is when the Bills made crucial stops on defense and the offense went into full gear. First, on 4th and 2, Keon Coleman caught a tipped pass for a touchdown to make it an 8-point game. Then Derrick Henry fumbled after getting stripped by Ed Oliver allowing the Bills to score again. Unfortunately, they attempted another two-point conversion and missed again so they were down 40-38. The defense needed to get a stop and it forced a 3-and-out with a crucial tackle by Christian Benford. The Bills had a minute and a half to score a field goal and were able to drive down the field, and kick a game-winning field goal as time expired with new kicker Matt Prater, already a Buffalo legend! Reporters, critics, and fans are already calling this a classic game and one to be remembered forever! The Bills win 41-40.

Week 2: Bills vs Jets
1st Half: The Buffalo Bills had their first road game of the year facing the division rival New York Jets at MetLife Stadium. The Bills came out strong, forcing a 3 and out early. Then, after a long drive, James Cook punched it in from the goal line. As the Jets tried to regain momentum, they fumbled immediately as Joey Bosa punched the ball out. The Bills were able to capitalize with a Matt Prater field goal. Entering the 2nd quarter, Josh Allen was hit hard in the nose, which caused him to start bleeding. He ran off the field and backup Mitch Trubisky briefly took over. Fortunately, Allen would return a few plays later. After a field goal by the Bills, they got the ball back and James Cook had an explosive 44-yard touchdown adding to his stat line for the day. After exchanging punts, it was 20-3 at halftime, the Bills dominating the run game and the Jets having many penalties.
2nd Half: The Bills got the ball back and got long drives again from the offense. Early in the 4th quarter, Elijah Moore scored his first touchdown as a Bill on a jet sweep concluding a 7-minute drive that put Buffalo up 30-3! At this point in the game, it was basically over as a long stalemate started which included Jets quarterback Justin Fields exiting with a concussion. Throughout the game, the Jets only had 154 total yards and were dominated on both sides of the ball. The momentum they had from a close Week 1 loss against the Steelers had vanished. The Bills win 30-10 and improve to 2-0 whilst the Jets fall to 0-2.

Week 3: Dolphins vs Bills
1st Half: The Bills played their division rival on a short week coming off a game just four days before. Josh Allen entering the game was 7-0 on Thursday Night Football and the Bills were 9-1 against Miami since 2020. Miami got the ball to start and drove down the field on an impressive drive and rookie running back Ollie Gordon picked up his first career NFL touchdown. The Bills responded with a time-consuming drive of their own after two 3rd down conversions and Allen throwing a 20-yard touchdown to Dalton Kincaid for his first touchdown of the season. The Dolphins punted and the Bills responded again with another long drive, this time Jackson Hawes, the rookie tight end, catching the touchdown. After another Miami punt, it looked like the Bills would pull away after driving into Miami territory. However, a sack on third down forced the Bills to kick a field goal that Matt Prater missed, his first of the season. Then the Dolphins converted on third down with eight seconds left in the half and ultimately scored on a pass to Jaylen Waddle from the three-yard line. Entering halftime, the score was tied at 14, closer than most Bills fans expected.
2nd Half: Entering the second half, the Bills came out strong, and James Cook finished another long drive with a two-yard touchdown run to give the Bills a 21-14 lead. During the third quarter, the teams exchanged two punts each and the score remained constant. The Dolphins overcame an ineligible men downfield penalty and were able to enter the red zone in the fourth quarter. They finished the drive on a beautiful throw from Tua Tagovailoa to Tyreek Hill, tying the game at 21. The following drive changed the game! The Bills were forced to punt after a defensive stand from Miami. However, Zach Sieler roughed the punter giving the Bills a free first down. They took advantage of this and Allen threw a screen touchdown to Khalil Shakir nabbing the lead right back. The Dolphins kept fighting, though. Jaylen Waddle had two third down catches, keeping their drive alive. However, on first down in the red zone, Tua threw an interception to Terrel Bernard ending the hopes for Miami with three minutes left in the game. The announcers said, “Bernard read Tua like a book,” as the Bills celebrated. The Bills would kick a Matt Prater field goal to ice the game. The Bills win 31-21 at home, ending an awesome first three weeks as they move to 3-0!
