Participants engage with hands-on hydroponics systems, develop individual projects through their chosen learning pathway, and present their work in a final showcase.
Participants will have opportunities to:
Build and maintain a hydroponics system
Select culturally meaningful dishes that use fresh herbs and vegetables grown in our hydroponics lab
Explore sustainability, storytelling, or food science
Create a visual or digital final product
Go on a Field Trip
Share their work at a school Showcase
Participants choose one of the following roles, each with a guided set of tasks, culminating in a presentation at the school Showcase:
1. Menu Planner - Recipe Designer
Create recipes using hydroponically grown herbs.
2. Food Historian - Cultural Storyteller
Research, write, and present a food story from their culture.
3. Eco Investigator - Sustainability Researcher
Investigate and share insights on how hydroponics benefits the environment.
4. Visual Storyteller - Photographer & Site Designer
Document the process with photo galleries.
5. Documentary Creator - Videographer
Produce 30 sec – 1 minute videos.
6. Culinary Skills Lead - Cooking Demo Leader
Demonstrate a cooking technique related to their chosen dish.
7. Systems Manager - Hydroponics Lead
Monitor, maintain, and present the hydroponics system.
8. Artists
Plan the interior design of the hydroponics lab.
