NJROTC Teams

Rifle Team

The Belleville High School Rifle team teaches gun safety & basic marksmanship in firing range activities. During competitions, cadets fire in prone, kneeling, and standing positions.

The rifle team is one one of our newest and most hard working teams. These cadets practice almost every day to perfect their marksmanship skills. They have competed in multiple rifle competitions and are proving themselves everyday.

Drill Team

The Belleville High School drill team focuses on the basics of drill which include marching in formation, facing movements, and handling a rifle in formation.

We have an Armed and Un-Armed Basic and Expedition drill team. We march in parades, competitions, and train other cadets to make sure the battalion is always looking sharp and together when ever we march in formation.

Color Guard

The Belleville High School Color Guard assembles at school assemblies, ceremonies, drill competitions, and special events.

The Belleville Color Guard has performed in opening ceremonies for football games, robotics events, led parades, competed in competitions, and been present for flag retiring ceremonies. Our dedicated Color Guard is always willing to be present for any last minute event or ceremony.

Orienteering Team

Cadets learn how to navigate land using a compass and map. During competitions, cadets compete with others to find various checkpoints along the way.

During the warmer months we will gather the battalion and have large capture the flag events. The cadets will be given coordinates where they need to take their flag and once they correctly plot the point for their own flag they are given the coordinates for the enemy flag and where they need to take it.

Our destiny is not written for us, it is written by us.
