Physical Fitness Testing

Students are required to pass a minimum fitness requirement test. This consists of a certain number of push-ups, crunches, and a timed 1-mile run. This helps gauge the improvements of cadets individually and where the unit is as a whole. Those who can pass this test will be able to receive promotions and leadership positions.

To keep the cadets engaged and excited we perform different challenges. These help build self-confidence, self-esteem, and trust with each other.

We do multiple competitions between the squads in an obstacle course based off of different Medal of Honor Recipients. The winning squad receives a pizza party for their company.

The cadets participate in trust building activities often to build a sense of trust, community, and family with each other.

The Belleville NJROTC Unit believes every cadet should be physically fit or actively pushing themselves to their fullest potential. The unit has group training minimum once a week. We strive for maximum effort from every cadet to build themselves physically and mentally in preparation for whatever life may hold for them.

Your fitness is 100% mental, your body won't go where your mind doesn't push it.
