The SeaTeacher Batch 10 program was a life-changing experience that sharpened my interpersonal and intrapersonal skills while preparing me to excel as a future educator. My time at NEUST was a treasure trove of learning, where practical training and hands-on mentorship shaped my abilities in lesson planning, effective teaching delivery, and classroom management. These experiences didn’t just teach me how to teach, they ignited my passion for education.

Through this program, I built a network of amazing people and experienced a massive boost in my English communication skills, both in daily conversations and in teaching settings. The bond with my fellow SeaTeacher participants and NEUST students felt like family—a connection filled with warmth, laughter, and shared dreams.
What made it even more magical was the chance to immerse myself in Filipino culture. From their legendary hospitality to heartfelt stories and vibrant traditions, every moment was a beautiful exchange of culture and camaraderie. That said, there’s always room for improvement. The recruitment and selection process could benefit from a more streamlined flow and clearer guidance to make it more accessible and less overwhelming for participants.
