Hello, my name is Caecilia Novi Cahyaningrum. I am from Central Java, Indonesia, and I am 22 years old. Currently, I am a 7th-semester student in the Biology Education program at Universitas Sebelas Maret.
I am known for being friendly and easy to get along with. For me, social interaction is a great way to learn and broaden my horizons. I have many dreams that I want to pursue, and I believe that with hard work and strong determination, I can achieve them all. One of my big dreams has been to study and engage internationally, and participating in an exchange teaching program like SEATEACHER is a step toward making this dream a reality. To me, every experience is a valuable lesson that helps me grow into a better individual, both professionally and personally.
I hope that my journey in chasing my dreams can inspire others to keep working hard and not be afraid to dream big. Thank you for taking the time to read a little about me!
SEATEACHER (Southeast Asian Teacher Education Development) is a teaching exchange program initiated by SEAMEO (Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization) to enhance the quality of education in Southeast Asia. The program aims to strengthen teaching skills and broaden the perspectives of educators by providing the opportunity to teach at educational institutions in other countries within the region.
I had the opportunity to participate in the SEATEACHER program as part of a collaboration between Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) and SEAMEO, where I engaged in teaching practice at Saint Louis University in the Philippines. The main purpose of this program, in my opinion, is to gain experience and broaden knowledge regarding the education system in another country. Through this program, I was able to learn about the differences and similarities in teaching methods, curricula, and educational approaches applied in the Philippines compared to Indonesia.
Moreover, SEATEACHER also provides a valuable opportunity to expand professional networks with fellow educators at the international level. This program not only enhances teaching abilities but also fosters connections that are beneficial for future collaborations. Through this experience, I learned the importance of adapting to different educational cultures and how sharing knowledge can enrich the teaching and learning process on a global scale.
