Silence

Silence everywhere,

The world is in peace.

The nights became days

And the days became weeks.

The life goes on

But I feel like I’m not living.

I keep staying inside

But my soul is screaming.

I know it is for the best

And everyone is trying

But I really miss the old times

And I feel like crying.

Many sleepless nights

About what’s going to happen

Many people cried,

Because they’re worried about the present.

We were caught off guard,

From this silent killer

All those sweet “hellos”

Have become bitter.

Not even a handshake

Just a nod in distance

Trying not to catch the virus

To precede existence.

Flowers in bloom

Birds chirping

The nature says thank you

No noisy cars

No crowds either

Serenity prevails

Humanity keeps adapting

Birthday parties

With no guests

I blow the candles

Loneliness came

Yesterday, today or tomorrow

Everyday feels the same

Repetition continues

Boredom takes place

A terrible virus

Is looming around

Keep your distance
