Introduction

There is hardly anything going on in the world that is more important than how we respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. Finding ourselves living through unprecedented times, the third-year students of the English Department, under the mentorship of Dr. Blerta Mustafa, have used this platform to display the various aspects of it.

As the University community adjusted to remote learning, the 32 students of the Practical English course adapted their continuous work into a final project to curate and display their personal experiences during the pandemic. The aim of the project is to inform and inspire future generations to live through misfortune wisely and humanely, whenever it comes.

We invite you to enjoy the individual pieces of each student, which are a first-hand experience put into journals, essays, poems, videos, pictures and more. The site covers a range of issues surrounding the virus, all discerned by the students, with an unwavering commitment to a higher purpose, a greater good.

Ardhmerie Thaci - Mad world (Cover), 2021.

"This cover represents the difficult moments we went through during 2020 when the pandemic gripped us all, some motivational quotes, and some tips on how to protect ourselves from the virus. The song of this cover is also considered the anthem of 2020 because every word of it, is a reflection of everything we experienced during the lockdown."-Ardhmerie Thaci.

Music we listened to during quarantine!

''Trying to stay positive in such hard times was tough for everyone. People found comfort through many things; one of those things was listening to music and taking time to relax but also relating to the songs. Thus, this quarantine playlist served as a place for students to share their favorite songs that they have listened to during the pandemic as a way of sharing their emotions.''- Arianita Kqiku
