PhET (Physics Education Technology)

PhET is a suite of research-based interactive computer simulations for teaching and learning physics, chemistry, math, and other sciences.

WHAT IS MORE DETAIL ABOUT PhET?

PhET simulations are interactive, web-based simulations developed by the University of Colorado Boulder to help students learn complex scientific and mathematical concepts through exploration and experimentation. They provide visual, hands-on learning experiences that can improve understanding and retention.

THE MAN BEHIND PhET

CARL WIEMAN

Carl Edwin Wieman (born March 26, 1951) is an American physicist and educationist at Stanford University, and currently the A. D. White Professor at Large at Cornell University. This is the person responsible for the creation of the PhET application. Carl Wieman founded PhET Interactive Simulations at the University of Colorado Boulder in 2002 to enhance science and mathematics education through free, interactive simulations.
