An educational technology startup firm called Padlet has offices in Singapore and San Francisco, California. Padlet enhances the concept of the notice board by turning it into a digital format. This makes an educational environment where professors and students may interact better than it is in the real world.
Additionally, Padlet is a very user-friendly programme that allows for the publication of text, photos, links, documents, videos, and voice recordings, facilitating online collaboration between students. Who you share that with is entirely up to you, the moderator. You may either make it public and open to everyone or add a password on the wall. The wall can only be accessed by those who have been invited, which is the ideal setup for instruction. By sending the URL, you may quickly invite anyone to join.
You may use Padlet with both the desktop and mobile apps for Android and iOS. Users may be accessed via tablets, phones, and desktops. In addition, Padlet provides free software for cellphones, PCs, and tablets. Free access to Padlet's most basic version, which limits users to three Padlets and imposes a file size restriction on contributions.
Teachers and students who are impacted by the Pandemic COVID-19 utilise this Padlet app primarily. Due of the epidemic, face-to-face instruction is no longer possible. In order to submit their coursework, assignments, and assessments, teachers and students are using this Padlet.
The knowledge that pupils get by writing their own posts depends on the task that is given to them. By writing a brief biography of a person they respect, learners may enhance their writing and speaking skills. They can also brainstorm terms related to the subject in order to activate existing knowledge before reading or listening to a text. Due to the fact that everyone is typing at once, it is an equitable and efficient means of collecting ideas.
Next, By using links to internet movies or articles that may be read or seen, it allows instructors to disseminate information. The ability to share learner-generated information in the form of written blog entries, audio files, videos, or documents is another benefit. Since students may conduct individual research and subsequently share their results on a Padlet, it is useful for projects. It should be mentioned that the free version only supports video files up to 25 MB, therefore you should upgrade if you want to use this function.
