OCTOBER is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Each day, an estimated 75 Canadians are diagnosed with breast cancer. It is the most common cancer, and the second leading cause of cancer deaths among Canadian women- but hope is not lost. More people are surviving a breast cancer diagnosis than ever before.

There are many ways you can help to make a real difference and help those who are affected by breast cancer. In OCTOBER, we try to spread awareness and encourage donations and fundraisers- but remember, your support should last year-round!

Check out some of the following resources to become more educated and find out how you can make a difference:

Canadian Cancer Society: https://cancer.ca/en/ways-to-give/breast-cancer-awareness-month

National Breast Cancer Foundation: https://www.nationalbreastcancer.org/breast-cancer-awareness-month

Breast Cancer Society of Canada: https://bcsc.ca

Breast cancer is represented by the pink ribbon. The symbol is to remember lives that were lost and to spread awareness to support those in need.

In honour of Breast Cancer Awareness month, we created a padlet where you can leave a thoughtful message for survivors and their families alongside more resources to educate and spread awareness.
