Guitar 2

Prerequisite: Guitar 1 or Audition

This semester class is a fantastic way to hone your playing skills and get practice in your schedule every week.

This class builds upon guitar performance skills such as:

-Advanced chord shapes in all positions up the neck, movable scales for soloing in blues, pentatonic, major and minor keys.

- Playing melodies in 1st and 5th position,

- Understanding and playing TABs online.

- Right hand techniques including finger-picking and more advanced strumming patterns.

Note:

-This class may combine with Piano 2 class to play selected songs in small and large groups using bass, drums, percussion and vocals.

-Students will be required to perform on at least ONE alternate instrument (Bass/Vocal/Percussion/Keys, etc.)
