ーKaraoke Nightー
Sing Your Heart Out!
Karaoke, simply put, is a fun activity in which people take turns (or duet) singing (over instrumentals of) their favorite songs!
Karaoke Night is a tradition across the Japan Clubs of the (Salinas Union High School) District to convene together and enjoy one of Japan's most popular activities!
Also, it's important to note that songs of any language are accepted; it does not have to be Japanese! You may sing in English, Spanish, Tagalog, etc.. Either way, sing your heart out!
Formerly "Karaoke Contest"
Until 2023, Karaoke Night was formerly known as the Karaoke Contest, in which select members from all Japan Clubs in the SUHSD district competed to become the top singer representing their school! The last winner of the Karaoke Contest (before becoming "-Night") was Dakota-san, who performed Fly-Day Chinatown by 泰葉 (やすは / yasuha) with vibrant energy and stage presence (according to the judges).
