Support their mission to end ALS once and for all
ALS (also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease), in simple terms, is a terminal illness that progressively cuts off your brain's connection to the body’s nervous system, losing the ability to move any muscle.
Hiro Fujita was just another person like you, laughing with friends, going on adventures, and playing video games. In high school, Hiro was captain of his school's football and soccer team. He was living his best life...
Until suddenly, Hiro's was diagnosed with ALS, and he has now lost virtually all voluntary motor abilities. Hiro founded the END ALS Association in Tokyo to spread awareness of this terminal disease in hopes of finding a cure.
14 Students from Everette Alvarez & Salinas High School traveled and participated in the 2015 "END ALS 5K" in Tokyo, Japan. Since then, the "End ALS Color Run" has continued at Everett Alvarez as an annual event.
