Target(1)
Target 1 i am aiming for is probably pouring resin and trying to make it less messy because resin is really sticky and it might get stuck to my hands and make extra mess for other people working near me.
Target(2)
target 2 is probably cutting more faster using the junior hacksaw or the hacksaw and also probably dont forget to put on the goggles before using them because sometimes i am a very forgetful person.
Target(3)
target 3 will definetlly be being less scared about the machines because sometimes i get scared of the machines like the sander and scroll saw because i am scared it will cut my finger or maybe pull my hair in.
Target(4)
target 4 is probably aiming around 80-100 for the points for my website but not less than but 70 is still okay.
As tou can see, these are my trees and if your wondering is it hardwood or softwood? This is hardwood but there are only 3 trees because i couldnt really find any trees with white background but i will explain in the soft wood a bit more.
So you know alreayd that this is softwood. As you can see there are 2 more trees than the hardwood. Thats because softwood trees are a bit more smaller than the hardwoods. If you compare them you could probablly see that the leaves in the hardwood are more wider.
These were the comments in my poster. As you can see, i zoomed into my poster so the comments are more visible and easier to see because my text box is a little small so i could fit all of the facts i found.
These are all of my layers not exactally ALL of the layers because i have alot a layers so this is just the firet page and if we take a scroll we will see the other layers as i have displayed on the other one.
As you can see here, this is my other layers and thats all of my layers but if you look at the bottom of the layer page, you could see my first layer i have added which were the trees which displays softwood and hardwood trees.
As you can see, this is Kasper's poster and i think its alright but not the best poster i've seen but i liked how he used some wood pictures and how he kind of added facts about it but i think that there should be a bit more more text and a bit less messy.
This is Ice's poster. i liked the idea of the grass field and how she made her poster tidy but i think there should be a bit more facts and some more trees but the poster should have a bit of pictures to add to the poster.
This is Jiwoo's poster and i liked how she made the background as trees because it matches what shes writing with and the picture explain about the trees but i thinkk she could do a bit of more facts or comments
As you can see here, this is Chapter's poster. Like Ice's its tidy and i liked how he did same amount of comments in each side for hardwood and soft wood but i think the comments can be a little bit longer and maybe away from the trees a bit.
This is Luna's poster, as you can see here her poster has some photos of the trees, and about enough text but i think that its good because theres about enough text and facts about hardwood and softwood.
As you can see, this is my insprational wall also abstract shapes. I started duplicating and rotating shapes to make it look like its crowded and doing this will save alot of time.
This is the full screen one. As you can see, theres alot of space but we only needed the top space but if you look closely, theres ome bits of the shape poking out and it got cropped out but it kind of gives an effect.
This is the menu you use to make the objects smaller, bigger, and rotate objects that your selecting. and if you want the menu option, its the arrow thats blue. If its blue, that means your selecting.
As you can see, this is the bottom of screen, theres a menu called rotate, flip and other stuff. i used rotate 45, flip vertical, and flip horizontal to make mine look crowdered.
As you can see, this is my first design. This is actually my most favorite because the idea was an tiny friend and if you noticed, this one is symetrical and i tried to make it look like a tiny blob that is alive and i got the idea from the abstract shapes poster because i said it was crowded and the it kind of reminded me of a busy ofice so i made an alive blob.
As you can see, this design kind of looks like a pear. If you noticed, i got this idea from my design last year from the maze and many people said that the maze design looked like an avocado and i tried to make it look like an avocado with a seed in the middle.
This is my third design. I dont really like it that much because i tried to make it look like a teddy bear but it failed and kind of looks like a small bear with human eyes.
In my fourth design, its kind of a cup with holes in it. If you knew, i tried to make an actual plant cup but if you see in the background a bit, theres some sketches of another design and i tried to make a beehive but i wanted to change it.
This is actually my second favorite because its not that fancy and the shape is kinda smooth and not that fancy and kind of a simple idea
This is my sixth design and it looks pretty wobbly like a falling tower and i dont really like it but its still okay because it kind of reminds me of the weird flower pots and it would kind of match with the thick leaf plants.
This is the full screen one. As you can see theres all my 6 designs and the first and fifth one are my favorites.
This is tye full screen finelined one. As you can see, its finished and if you see, i wanted to remove the mouth and it a little bit visable but ifyou look far away you wont really see it.
This isnt really a mistake but its just a little one. I was scared to mess it up but i kind if did it a bit slow and it got wobbly and when i finsihed finelining, i went over that spot again and i made the line a bit bigger than the others.
This is my poster for some peoples favorite designs. As you migh wonder, why i made a poster instead of writing it in my website. Because i wanna try boost my score to 100 instead of a 90.
This is my poster for coloring and extra finelining. This one is the one without a background and i decided to add a background because the one without a backgrouhd looks a bit boring.
This poster is the same one but with a background. I used opasity to make it look like its layered and to make it softer. I chose pink for the background because pink is an exciting color not really like blue and purple because those colors are kinda dark.
First mistake:
Finelined the top of the stump because i thought we were supposed to.
Second mistake:
the pen was a little too big to fit inside the eye and it turned the completely black.
Third mistake:
Same mistake as the second one. Pen was too big to fit inside the hole so the black ink covered it.
Fourth mistake:
Same mistakeas the second and third. the pen couldnt fit into the tiny hole.
This is my poster about how to make a test model card and i am actually pretty proud of my poster and i like that i added the background but maybe i wishes that i used a different effect behind the poster.
This is my poster about Foam and hot wire machine and i think that its really simple amd it could use more pictures and text but i think that its okay and i didnt need to add a lot because its just explaining some foam and hot wire machine.
Usually in year 3 and 4, we use Tinkercad but in year 5, we switch to another app/website called Onshape, but because we already went through year 3 and 4 so we know how Tinkercad is like, and we're using Onshape because its more of a harder and professional app and its not really like Tinkercad because professionals use Onshape to make cars, machines, and even airplanes.
this is the front of the flower template and its kinda plain but we will edit it later but if you can see, there is a type of plastic on front of the first layer.
this was the back of the flower pot template and its like the front of the template.
these were the controls to the move the camera and see the different angles of the design.
these were all the layers and as you can see, there are 3 layers in different colors.
this is a lava lamp template and i actually really like it because i liked how they also included the lava but they didnt colour it.
this is the back of the lava lamp and honestly it kinda looks like the front but just with no lava.
these are some glasses and i think that this design is very similar to real glasses
I think that this is an ironer and i think that this is also really similar to a real ironer and i really like that the people on Onshape make their designs look like real objects.
As you can see here, this is my poster about other people's designs on Onshape, and i think its very basic and theres a lot of space left, but i might edit it later because i like it, but theres a lot of space left, and its kinda basic.
this is my base and as you can see, its the same design as my flowerpot design and the base could actually be any shape but i chose my design as my base because its kinda like a circle ad it will probably hold.
this is how big my base is, and i think its kinda small compared to the back layer but i think it would still hold the front layer because my design is kinda small.
this is my design, and think that its kinda hard to see but if you look hard enough, you will probably see it and its not that visable because i drew it on the semi transparent paper.
this is the side view and you could see it better in the side view and i think its because we drew it on the semi transparent paper and in the side view, we can see all the layers and the paper is flipped to the side and is kinda like the layers where you can see everything.
i made a mistake by removing all of the layers on the the mddle one, as you can see, you can see from behind in the middle one, and Mr.Douglas said its gonna be floating if it was exported, so i just need to add one layer to it and the mistake will be fixed.
As you can see here, this is the fixed finished one, and i think that i am pretty happy with it but its really basic and i actually wished that i would have moved the middle one lower and when i was sketching the designs, maybe i could have added a back layer.
I didnt really have time to explain and show what colours i chose, but we might get back to the computer room, and i'll have time to show the colours.
Overall, i think that this poster is pretty good, but i think that the lines are standihg out a little too much, and Mr Douglas also thinks that too, so he said that i could make the lines transparent for people to read the text more easily.
Overall, i think there arent lots of changes, because its just the lines that were turned semi transparent but i think that this poster is quite simple and basic but i quite like it since its nit too complicated and if you look at the old one, there is detail to the lines but i didnt add detail because i would have to keep coming back to see how the design is.
STEP 1:
Trace a wooden square for your base.
STEP 2:
Next, draw your design inside your base or design on the paper inside the box.
STEP 3:
Cut out your design base.
STEP 4:
Stick it on your wooden square
STEP 5:
Use a plastic flower base and see if it fits, if it doesnt, then make a bigger one.
STEP 6:
Cut it using a scroll saw (dont forget to put on the helmet!!)
STEP 6:
Or you could use a hacksaw to cut it down (use hacksaw if you have a square)
STEP 7:
After cutting, sand it to make it smooth or remove unwanted parts.
STEP 8:
Peel off the paper that you stuck on (make sure everything is off)
STEP 9:
Use a hand sander and make your design smooth and shiny
STEP 10:
Go to a bandfacer and start sanding (if your design isnt really smooth yet)
In he last step, go to the polishing wheel to polish your base. make sure to keep it tilted like in the picture.
This is the final product of the base. this is my friend's base and as you can see, it's shiny and polished.
This is a ferris wheel i made in the weekends a few weeks ago, and i think that i'm pretty proud if it because it could actually move if you spin it, but i only used popsicle sticks, a bamboo stick, cardboard and hot glue gun.
This is the ferris wheel spinning, but a real ferris wheel would have supporters on the wheel and some gondola's on it (i tried adding them but it couldn't spin)
First, go to Ezgif.com. (the screen should look like this when opened)
Next, upload the video you want turned into a GIF
Scroll down and click save
Once you've clicked "save", you'll see this menu task. click download and you should see a new tab on the top right of your ipad screen.
As you can see, your GIF should be here (in the download tab)
Next, click into your GIF and click the top button with the arrow and the square. (i circled it)
Lastly, click on "Save Image" and your GIF should be in your photo album!
This is a poster i made of how to make GIF's. I think that it looks pretty simple, but also quite nice, since you get quite alot if information from it.
First, we got another student's design in the mold and unscrewed the wingnuts.
To unscrew it, you need to spin it clockwise (right) and to screw it back up, you need to do anti clockwise (left)
Next, you need to get the previous design out and try not to break it since it's another student's work. (the wood is delicate)
Then, get your design pieces amd align the pieced together however you like.
Next, get a paintbrush (make sure it isn't wet or too hard)
Then, get a cup of glue (make sure to share with a partner!)
Dip the paint brush into the glue and start painting it make sure to not use too much, but also not too less
Dont work too fast, but also not too slow, since if you work too slow, your design will start to curl and it will be hard to press together.
Lastly, fold it all together like a book (make sure the layers are correct)
This is the final product, and i think that it's pretty good but also pretty simple and i'm quite surprised since my design managed to stick perfectly together when i pressed it abit.
We used wing nut screws to secure the design in the box and Mr.Douglas helped me to secure the box and we used a wet tissue to erase the name.
I think that this design looks a little busy but i honestly think that this design is simple, yet pretty good. This poster took me a couple of days to make.
In the front view, the base isn't really visible since your facing the front, which the design is what blocks the base. If your wondering what the clamps helps with, they help with keeping the design stuck together when you glued something.
Front view
i think that the front view is one of the most photogenic because you can see the design, but not the back view, which isn't really important
Side view
the design isn't really visible, but if you look closely, you can see the different layers, and you can kind of see the shape of the design.
Back view
In the back view, you can't see the design, but you can see the shape and the base, but i still think that the back view is better than the side view.
The first mistake was that i thought the paint in a container was glue, so i used too much and it oozed out.
The second mistake was when i was applying the paint (a mistake), i got the paint stuck on my fingers since i was doing it with my friend and got distracted, and when i touched my design, i wasn't aware that there was paint on my hands, so then my design got stained.
The glue is for sticking the base and design together
The sticks for applying the glue onto the base so you could attach the base to it.
Do not use paint, it's not sticky like glue! I used the paint because i thought it was like glue, but it stained my design, so be careful!
This is the poster i made, and i think that it's pretty simple but i also kind of like it, since the poster itself is kind of unique since the flowers aren't real because i got the picture from the internet and deleted the pot, and hid it behind my design.
I honestly think that this shot is pretty simple and what i would usually do.
I think that this shot is quite photogenic since you can kinda see the base, and is what commercials would do.
I also think that this shot is quite photogenic and is similar to the right shot.
The resin is for making the cup, since after the resin dried, it will become hard like plastic.
The cups are for putting in the resin.
These are all the colours we could use. the colours are kind of like a powder pigment so we could make the resin and design colourful.
These sticks are for scoopingand mixing the colour pigments into the resin.
Firstly, get one of these small cups and fill them with resin.
Secondly, take any pigment colour of your choice and scoop itintoyour resin (3 scoops if you want a stronger colour)
Thridly, mix the resin with the pigment using a stick, and repeat it with another colour of choice (if you want 2 colours)
After mixing, your colour should look mixed like this (no pigment powder or chunks)
Lastly, pour all your resininto a mold (fill to all the way to the top, otherwise your cup would have a hole in it)
This is how my resin pot turned out, and i think that the result is pretty good, but the colours kind of mixed/ i chose colours that looked the same when it hardened.
You have to sand these sharp edges first since you COULD injure yourself with just a resin flowerpot!
If you look closely, you could see that i scratched by design while sanding the sharo edges. Be sure to not sand into the insides of the back of your flowerpot!
I took this photo in the light box and these were the flowers i chose. the plants aren't really flowers since it's more like plants, but i still like the plants
This is a sideways version of it, and i think that you could see them better, and more commerical type.
These are all the flowers and plants i collected for round 2, and i think that the new plants look beautiful, but the design will block them. i also added rocks in the bottom.
These are the plants and flowers behind my design, and i think that you cant really see them since the design blocks the different plants and flowers.
