What do we want to achieve?
The Green Clean is a project initiated by a group of students from the University of Groningen doing the minor 'Future Planet Innovation'. The client of the Green Clean project is Stichting ANEMOON and is contributing to project Het Groene Strand. The Green Clean aims to spread information about both the different types of beaches, as well as the different cleaning methods. Apart from this, the goal of the Green Clean project is to create a tool that can be accessed and used by municipalities to inspire improved beach cleaning methods that result in a better balance between both human desires as well as needs of nature.

The Green Clean offers a variety of beach cleaning management improvements that are tailored to your needs. We provide municipalities with customised advice that will fit the budget and help them achieve their goals. Municipalities can find the most fitting cleaning methods for their specific needs and requirements, as well as tips to improve already established waste management techniques, by making use of the interactive decision tree which is provided on the website.
Community involvement
We believe that it is important to work together as a community and make sure everyone is involved. By involving every group active on a beach, cleaner and more environmentally friendly management can be established that satisfies all parties.
