This section of our report discusses several different concepts and theories that are relevant to our project. Based on literature research we analysed these concepts and theories. On this webpage we show two of the most important concepts about the relationship between humans and nature. We think these concepts are the underlining thought of this project about De Onlanden.
The theory of Nature Connectedness refers to the extent to which individuals incorporate nature as part of their identity. Spending time in nature can foster a sense of connection, leading individuals to care about and be more inclined to protect the environment.
