An important part of the club is guest speakers: students, professionals in the STEM field, or professors who speak about their experience in STEM and university.
We are always eager to accept guest speakers, the sign-up form is below!
Guest speakers present Google Slides over a Google Meet with the chapter. Their slides are on their career, educational path, and any advice they have to us as STEM students.
Specifics:
These events are 10:45 - 11:15 AM on certain Thursdays, and there's a Q+A session during the last 10 minutes
Questions are sent to the presenter 2 days in advance as well as asked on the fly after the presentation
Students vary in age from high school freshmen to seniors
There are usually 10 - 15 students in attendance
If any school scheduling changes occur, the McNeil Girls Who Code chapter will email you with a revised schedule of available dates and work closely with you to make sure your presentation can happen.
