3/24/22:

• Officer applications are open!

• Required materials/actions:

  • Essay - due April 10

    • No word count/limit, but please keep it from being a book

    • Submission Form

  • 2 or more recommendation letters - due April 21

    • Have your selected teachers email us why you would make a good candidate. Medium is flexible, so this can be a Google Doc, an email, pdf, whatever works for them

    • Must have at least one computer science/engineering/science teacher as a recommender

  • Recommender List - due April 10

  • Flex Interview Availability - due April 10

  • Speech(to present in person during last meeting of year - May 12)

  • Interview

    • During flex from April 11 to 22

    • Email/remind with all the available flexes you are available to flex out(flex will be set up in Mr Luna's room A101)

12/17/21:

• Happy Winter Break!

• If you haven't already, sign up with the code TX38702 at the Girls Who Code login portal

• First meeting of 2022 will be January 13th!

• Think about small projects you would like to program and look over the provided mini-project tutorials in Girls Who Code. Choose something you would like to do once we start up in 2022.

9/23/21:

• The first meeting was today, make sure to check the meeting slides

• Make sure to register for the NCWIT Q&A sessions, last one is October 7th!

• Fill out the A4 Availability form

8/18/21:

• Remind code is still gwcmcneil, so make sure you're subscribed to it!

• New members, fill out the Google Form on the sign-up page!

• Curriculum has been put up, there will be 9 total lessons over 9 monthly meetings

• First meeting will be in September, the specifics will be sent through Remind closer to that date
