Time Management Calculator:
One tool many of our students find helpful is the Time Management Calculator. This interactive calculator allows students to assess where they are spending their time, and it helps them determine how much time they need to devote to their coursework.
Ask ASC on Youtube:
The Academic Success Center has a channel on YouTube, Ask ASC, that features over 130 videos and six different playlists. You will find all of our Learning for Success, Writing, Science, and Math videos on this channel. All of the videos are accessible and closed captioned. Visit Ask ASC today, and be sure to subscribe to the channel too!
Math Study Skills Video:
The Academic Success Center is pleased to share a new video resource, Math Study Skills: Tips and Strategies for Mastering Your Math Courses. This short video discusses how learning math is different from learning other subjects. It gives tips for conquering math anxiety, explores resources that students can use, and more. Faculty, staff, and students can locate it in the Math Center, under the MM150, MM207, and MM212 resources.
Inclusive Language Guidelines Also Available in the ASC:
Faculty, staff, and students can now access Inclusive Language Guidelines from the American Psychological Association in the ASC. According to APA (2021), this important resource “was written for those working to champion equity, diversity, and inclusion in the spaces that they learn, teach, work, or conduct research.” This resource can be accessed on the ASC home page and the Writing Center home page.
