These are some apps that we recommend for students. All of these apps can be used for free. Some of them offer in-app purchases. Please DO NOT feel the need to make any in-app purchases. These apps work extremely well in their free versions and is why we recommend them for the students.
Pro Metronome is great for both Android and Apple users. It can work in multiple time signatures and accent different beats in the measure.
*ANDROID USERS: Search 'Pro Metronome' in the Play Store and the app should appear. It is still in 'Beta Testing' but works great. The widget looks the same as in the link above.
Metronome Ϟ is a great app for Apple users. This app includes a timer so that you can time your practice sessions to make sure that you are getting enough playing time and are being efficient in your practicing. It can work in multiple time signatures and accent different beats in the measure.
Bandmate is a great tuner for Apple users. Students can select their instrument and the tuner will show their written pitch so they do not have to transpose and can be confident that they are playing and tuning the correct notes.
*This app was available on Android but was removed from the Play Store. If you are tech savvy you can still download older versions of the app from third party sites if you Google search 'Bandmate App for Android'.
