DESCRIPTION
This is the data I collected by circulating a google form through my contacts and collecting information.
There are 9 categories of information collected and designated in the columns. These are:
State; Gender; Religion; Languages known; Eating Preference; Family Description; Age Group; Hobbies; Employment Status. Wherein Hobbies was optional.
There are total 160 responses collected from people around the country.
Though, the dataset cannot be considered as a fair and well defined sample to a population yet conclusive inferences can be drawn from it. Some of the observations are listed below.
A really big percentage (92%) of the people who filled the form are Students.
Almost half (51.5%) of the respondent are Non-vegetarian with 43.6% as vegetarian and a small percent as Vegan.
We can clearly see that a whooping 91.4% of the respondents know the Language Hindi also another whooping 83.4% know English. Other languages take smaller but significant values as shown in the graphs.
One thing to note here is that the data is noticeably biased because of my demographics. The Sample taken has a unusually large number of Assamese, Bengali and Punjabi speaking people. This is eminent from the fact that I come from Assam and I am a Bengali, hence, my social circle is biased towards Assamese and Bengali speaking people. Also, I am studying in Punjab and this also reflects the fact that a significant of my contacts are from Punjab. Thus, the spikes.
These are some of the inferences that seemed prominent. With time more observations can be made and inferences can be drawn.
