The Early College Academy is a four-year academy for students to earn their Associate's degree through dual-credit classes. It is an incredible academy for those who want to get ahead in their academic career. Learn more about the Early College Academy below:
To provide students of Northwest ISD expanded opportunities to enhance and accelerate their education through dual credit college coursework
Allow students the opportunity to experience the rigor of the college-level learning environment while receiving support from Steele advisors, whose focus is to facilitate a successful college experience
College-level dual credit courses also meet high school graduation requirements
Dual Credit coursework begins in 9th grade
Students can complete the Texas Core – 42 hours of credit that transfers to all Texas public colleges
Some also choose to complete the 60 hour Associate degree
The Early College Academy Head is Kendra Langston. She does everything from communicating with Tarrant County College to hire top-notch professors to helping students succeed in some of their first college classes.
Go to CANVAS and click on MyTCCTrack through the TCC Student Portal
Press on the Student Planning Tab in MyTCCTrack. Then, press on the Plan & Schedule tab.
Search up your course number (for example, GOVT 2305)
Press on "view available sections" for the course. Look for your course number (for example, 34223).
Once you find your specific course, click "add a section to schedule"
Go to the Academics section again, click on Student Planning, and click on Planning Overview
Click on View your planned Courses
Then, click on the class you are registering for and click register.
After you click register it will put the drop course option as the new selection button
Click on the account summary to find how much you owe for the classes

Freshman Year:
Spring Semester- Public Speaking and Introduction to Physical Fitness and Wellness
Sophomore Year:
Fall Semester- US Federal Government and Drama
Spring Semester- Macroeconomics and Texas Government
Junior Year:
Fall Semester- US History 1, English Comp 1, and College Algebra
Spring Semester- US History 2, English Comp 2, and Pre-Cal
Senior Year:
Fall Semester- British Literature, General Chemistry, and Associate Elective
Spring Semester- American Literature 2, General Chemistry 2, and Associate Elective
