The writing center is a community where writers of all levels collaborate to promote growth, critical thinking, and a lifelong passion for learning. The tutors strive to support developing writers by providing tailored resources and honoring the voices of each individual. Our goal is to create an authentic learning environment that prepares students to be successful in and beyond high school.

Some specific services we want to offer to serve our mission include:

• Hosting one-on-one tutoring sessions to help with both specific writing assignments, such as essays or lab reports, and broader requests.

• Creating a positive, physical tutoring environment that is conducive to success for each writer’s needs.

• Providing physical materials, such as writing utensils, staplers, and a printing area.
