Q1: I love the relationships that are built with others especially as a team and being able to guide the girls into cheerleaders.
Q2: Ever since 4th grade I have wanted to be a cheerleader because of movies. In middle school I tried out for the cheer team and made it in. I almost didn't try out for cheer in high school actually but I did anyways and became the cheer captain.
Q3: It's a great opportunity to build new relationships and gain self-confidence along with being a role model throughout the entire school.
Zoe Mckrill, Senior, 17 years old, 4 years (all in high school)
Q1: I like the relationships built and the team building since we grow and experience things together.
Q2:Ever since I was little and saw cheerleaders, I wanted to be one. Once I entered high school I wanted to try something new and decided on cheerleading since I wanted to be one before. I tried out and made the team.
Q3: Its a great experience and a great way to get out of your comfort zone. I've built so many lasting realtionships and I'm able to be someone that younger people look up to.
Isabella Brown, Senior, 17 years old, 6 years (2 middle school, 4 high school)
Q1: I love the night games and the energy that it can bring. The bonds i've created with cheer and being in a team are the best things ever. The trust you need to have with the other cheerleaders has a lasting impact on their relationship together.
Q2: I saw movies with cheerleaders and wanted to be one, I would even replicate the moves in my living room. I tried out in middle school and the rest is history.
Q3: Cheer creates the best bonds you will ever have in your high school career. I'm so much more involved with the school and its a great time, I'm having a great time.
Brilynn Guevara, Senior, 17 years old, 4 years (all high school)
Q1: I like being involved with the school and the different relationships I get to build that I normally wouldn't build. I also really like the other captains and are a big reason why I joined.
Q2: I found out about cheer through a friend and I actually tried out on the very first day of auditions, I was pumped when I made the team.
Q3: Its a fun experience and you get to meet so many girls. I got to jump out of my comfort zone and gain a self-confidence that I've never had before.
