Ashley Lucha, 16(junior), 1st Yr
Q1: It’s really fun, especially cymbals, even though it wasn’t my first choice. I've grown to like them because they’re not that hard.
Q2: I joined because two of my great friends would talk about it and say how amazing it was; they said they’d join this year and I thought “I’ll join since they’ll be there, it’ll be fun”. However, that wasn’t the case, but it’s okay.
Q3: What’d I’d say for someone to join is, you get to meet a lot more people and it’s fun. It’s also a small environment so nobody is judging you. It’s also fun to play music and hit things together.
Makaylah Johnson, 16 (junior), 3rd Yr
Q1: I like getting to meet new people and find new friends in different places.
Q2: Drums are loud and cool, they make a good sound. They go boom boom.

Bianca Borja, 17 (senior), 6th yr (2yr middle, 4yr high)
Q1: I’m very passionate about music and things involving music. What I like about percussion is hitting the drums and reading music, especially if it’s a difficult song.
Q2: A previous teacher wasn’t too good but I still decided to join percussion and ended up loving the class. I love music and percussion in general.
Q3: We get to go on field trips and this year it’s going on a cruise to Mexico and they’re really fun (trust) and you can also go to football games for free (trust).
Jasmin Martinez, 16 (Junior), 3 yrs (1 middle, 2 high)
Q1: I enjoy how all the instruments sound together, I think it's a really beautiful sound and beautiful to play a string instrument in general.
Q2: I was in summer school in middle and was put in to a class and my teacher suggested that me along with other kids join an orchestra and I though it might be something I would enjoy so I joined.
Q3: To get someone to join I'd tell them, when we're playing the finished peice of a song and everyone has practiced enough it can sound amazing and it's exciting to hear; and of course I'd tell them about our amazing music trip.
Jadah Gustus, 17 (Senior), 7yrs (3 middle, 4 high)
Q1: There is a sense of comfort in the class and I enjoy that because it makes me feel at home.
Q2: I was put in to a class one day and wanted to play something that was bigger than me, so I decided on bass.
Q3: The music trips are always fun and there aren't many adults with us so it's a little better.
Kelbyn Valerio, 16 (Junior), 1yr (1 high)
Q1: The people here are interesting and cool, it's fun here.
Q2: I knew I had to do something involving performance this year so I went wit an orchestra.

Emma Mendez, 16 (Junior), 8yrs (2 elementary, 3 middle, 3 high)
Q1: I’ve always been interested in playing instruments, especially string instruments. So, the violin was a perfect option for me.
Q2: Ever since elementary I’ve always had an interest in violin, so when I got to actually play I was excited and loved it so much it just stuck with me.
Q3: I think you should join an orchestra because it’s a way to connect with people of similar interest, and create beautiful music through a string instrument.

Interview with Linus Smith:
He played guitar as a hobby since 2020, and found it fun and easy. He enrolled into Guitar 1 his Junior year and stayed for Guitar 2 his Senior year. In Guitar 2, he is able to learn harder songs at his own pace while also being able to ask for help from Mrs. Carney.
