We envision a community that is knowledgeable and equipped in preventing and treating chronic disease through lifestyle practices. A community that no longer see chronic disease as an inevitable, and instead understand the actionable steps to take to increase their resistance against such diseases. A community that is healthier, more hopeful and happier.
We aim to increase doctors’ awareness of the importance of lifestyle medicine so they can empower their patients to play a more active role in their own health - embracing the shift from the doctor-focused approach of old to the patient-centred approach of today and beyond.
To foster an appreciation of the importance of Lifestyle Medicine amongst healthcare students, and help students in truly understanding how Lifestyle Medicine plays a vital part in patient health, clinical practice and public health systems.
Our mission is to spread the message of Lifestyle Medicine through interactivity and practicality. It is to encourage students to take control of their own wellbeing so that they not only feel healthier, but are more likely to promote and model lifestyle-based interventions for patients. It is to teach students how to relay the messages of Lifestyle Medicine to patients they may see in their professions, so that they can empower the wider community to truly take control of their own health.
