Sammy's Band Room Brawl: Official Tutorial

Welcome to the band room! In Sammy's Band Room Brawl, you play as Sammy the Otter (and his musical friends) as they fight off sheet-music monsters and music stand hazards using the power of jazz.

1. Basic Controls

Mastering your movement and timing is key to surviving the rehearsal:

Move: Use the W, A, S, D keys to navigate the room.
Attack: Aim with your mouse and Left-Click to fire musical notes at enemies.
Dash: Right-Click to perform a quick dash in the direction of your cursor. This is vital for dodging attacks.
Menus:
- [E]: Open the Market (The Percussionist's Corner).
- [Q]: Open your Inventory (Sammy's Gig Bag).
- [ESC] or [P]: Pause the game.

2. Gameplay Mechanics & Objectives

Your goal is to survive the onslaught of musical enemies while collecting Notes, the game's currency.

Collecting Notes: Destroy enemies and music stands to drop Notes. These are used to buy new gear and characters.
The Hud: Keep an eye on your HP (Health) and Dash Cooldown bar at the top left of the screen.
Music Stands: Shattering 50 music stands unlocks the "Percussive Maintenance" achievement.
Saves: The game uses Save Codes. You can generate a code from the pause or market menu to resume your progress later.

3. The Practice Room (Minigames)

When the game is paused, you can enter The Practice Room to earn extra Notes through three musical minigames:

Tuning Peg: Stop a moving cursor inside the green "sweet spot" to earn 50 Notes.
Count Your Rests: Click "PLAY!" exactly 4 seconds after starting the timer. Success awards 50 Notes.
Sight Reading: A memory game where you must repeat a sequence of four colors correctly to earn 100 Notes.

4. Gear and Progression

Visit The Percussionist's Corner (Market) to spend your hard-earned Notes:

Instruments: Upgrade from the Basic Reed to powerful brass and woodwinds like the Trumpet, Trombone, or the legendary Bari Sax.
Characters: Unlock new band members like Sterling (fast but fragile) or Sebastian (massive health, slow movement).
Abilities & Items: Buy Mystery Band Boxes for 500 Notes to find random gear like Valve Oil (increases brass attack speed) or the Root Beer Mug (passive health regeneration).
Upgrades: Purchase permanent buffs like Jazzy Fury (adds knockback to Saxophones) or Spit Valve (adds stun to Brass instruments).

5. Outfits & Achievements

Wardrobe: Customize your character with outfits like Concert Black, a Marching Uniform, or even a Cowboy Hat.
Trophy Case: Complete challenges like "Band Camp Survivor" (defeat 100 enemies) or "First Chair" (purchase the Bari Sax) to fill your trophy case.

The "No-Go" List:

No Toxic Behavior: Harassment of other players or staff will result in an immediate ban.

5. Moldy Toes TV (Content Streaming)

Availability: Content on Moldy Toes TV may vary by region and is subject to change without notice.
Usage: Streaming is for private, non-commercial viewing only. No "Puffin Parties" where you charge admission to watch movies!

6. Virtual Goods & Purchases

In-game items for The Adventures of Moldy Toes (RPGs) or DRAGON’S REALM have no real-world monetary value. They are non-refundable and cannot be traded for "real" cash outside of our authorized platforms.

7. Limitation of Liability

Moldy Toes Inc. provides these services "as is." We are not liable for:

Heart palpitations caused by Five Nights at Redbear’s.
Lost loot in DRAGON’S REALM due to internet outages.
A sudden urge to wear orange socks because of our mascot.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate your access to the flock at any time if you violate these terms. If we close your account, you forfeit all virtual items and progress.
