Here are the names of some animals! Most importantly, we have trâu nước (water buffalo), which is the national animal of Vietnam.

NOTE: "Con" is an indicator for animals so many words for animals usually are derived from it!

• "Chân có màng" = "webbed feet" 

• "Răng sắc nhọn" = "sharp teeth" 

• "Răng cùn" = "blunt teeth" 

• "Cổ ngắn" = "short neck" 

• "Cổ dài" = "long neck" 

• "Màu sắc" = "colour"

But if the above features aren't enough, maybe the colour of the animal will help! 

• "Trắng" = "white"

NOTE: "xanh" can refer to both green and blue so we add on "lá" and "dương" to be more specific. 

• "Lá" = "leaves" AND "dương" = "ocean" 

• Because of this, there are also other translations of green and blue in Vietnamese such as "xanh lá cây" (leafy green as well) and "xanh da trời" (sky blue)!
