Pet Portrait Series

Sometime during the beginning of 2023, I drew a portrait of someone's dog who they had recently lost due to old age. I did it as an act of kindness, and also simply to get to draw someone's dog because I wanted to explore different forms of art. I had an absolute blast drawing the dog and decided I wanted to draw more of this type of thing. And thus, I started my Pet Portrait Series. Starting with people I knew personally and soon other people who were simply interested in getting drawings of their pets, I made a hobby of creating animal portraits. While I love creating my work for myself, I find joy in making art for others because of the meaning it has.
