The purpose of the Granada Hills Charter High School Girls Build Team is to encourage young women to be leaders in their community through getting involved in their government. We want to combat "slacktivism" by educating them on how to organize communities and how to use their voices effectively to demand change. Through workshop activities such as "Does your vote matter", "How to be a female leader", and "Know your rights", we hope to inspire young women to use their power to take steps towards changing their communities.
