What is Honors in Action? What are Our Goals?
Honors in Action is a collaborative research-based service project. Last Spring, our team engaged in reviewing and exploring PTK's Honors Study Guide called The Art and Science of Play. Through discussions in our spring HIA class and with the help of our HIA Officer, Arielle Gonzalez Guerra, we have tentatively constructed the following as our initial research question:
Why do we exclude, especially within marginalized populations, causing feelings of isolation that lead to belonging uncertainty and us vs. them thinking, and what wise interventions through play can be implemented to foster a stronger sense of belonging in school, at work, and throughout life?
