Getting Involved: PTK and Approved Events

Join Phi Theta Kappa to Grow As Leaders, Make Friends, and for Scholarship Opportunities!

Honors students often qualify to join our Rho Kappa chapter of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK).  Students qualify after having completed 12 credits of college-level coursework with a 3.25 GPA or higher.  Joining PTK opens up so many wonderful opportunities to grow and learn.  In addition, being a member may make you eligible for scholarships.  Numerous transfer schools offer automatic scholarships to students who were members of PTK.  In addition, being a member makes you eligible to apply for numerous competitive scholarships.   PTK events and opportunities will be shared on this site as best we can.  Your best way to stay informed is to attend a PTK Information Meeting and to sign-up for their email or social media communications.  For more information on PTK, check here:  PTK site on ECC website

Highlighted Honors "Pre-Approved" Events for Campus and Community Engagement

In this section, we will aim to highlight upcoming events that are "pre-approved" to count toward the expectations for campus and community engagement.  We will do our best to keep up to date, but you can always check the ECC event calendar below, your email, and remember that you can always request any event or activity to count if you are working toward being recognized as an Honors Program Graduate or Achiever.
