What was Poseidon's family history like? Poseidon is the second son of Kronos and Rhea. It is believed that he was born fully grown. He is the brother of Zeus, Hades, Hera, Demeter, and Hestia. He was swallowed by his father as a baby. Zeus saved Poseidon from his father. The earth was dived into three parts between him and his brothers. He was soon married to Aphrodite. He soon had a son called Triton. Poseidon lives in the Aegean sea. This is what Poseidon’s family tree was like. Poseidon was related to the other Olympians by being their uncle or their brother. He had many relationships with many goddesses and mortals.
