Welcome to W.E.S.'s Host Nation Studies website!

Hainerberg Elementary School was opened in the early 1950´s when the entire housing area was built, as a K-5 school. Our new XXI century school known as Wiesbaden Elementary School is located in the beautiful spa town of Wiesbaden, Germany in the state of Hesse.

The idea of creating a content site was initiated in 2010 by Teresa Bretfeld. The contribution of Frau Bretfeld as a Host Nation teacher with her tenacious effort was admirable, making possible the reality of a Weebly site. 

Later on in 2016, Herr Ruben jumped on board as a Host Nation teacher and since then has been eager to start a new Dodea Educational Site for the school. This website has a clear purpose of being informative and helpful for the Community. In 2023 Herr Weber joined our school from Bavaria, contributing with fresh ideas to connect children with the German culture.

We would like to honor with this site the memory of those Host Nation teachers who have been inspiring students since its creation.
