Updated for SY23-24!
Just as the world is changing ... so are high schools! The College, Career, and Workforce-ready Pathways at Kaiserslautern High School are committed to providing students with more of the advanced skills they need to be successful, productive citizens in college, career, and life. The primary goal of the College, Career, and Workforce-ready Pathways is to provide relevant, real-world experiences and opportunities for students to apply their learning outside the confines of the classroom.
Through the sequences of thematic courses, students learn in the context of a career theme or interest field of study, which will prepare them for life after high school - be it college or a career, or the workforce. Learning through the lens of a career or academic theme provides each student with a highly personalized learning environment in small learning communities that support the Kaiserslautern High School 6Cs.
On the IPSs (PDFs on the right side, below) look for the RED ROW that highlights a sequence of courses for that Career or Academic Pathway. The below IPSs are potential 4-year plans for your students. Please use these as planning and communication tools for your academic career at KHS: our school teachers, counselors, and staff are ready for your conversation and questions!

In Kaiserslautern High School's CTE & Academic Pathways that are focused on Leadership & Public Administration, students will have the opportunity to explore pathways that prepare them to understand and embrace quality leadership while mastering the skills necessary to be an exceptional leader. Some of our greatest leaders are not the people you see standing behind a podium giving speeches, rather they are the public and private sector public servants, soldiers, police officers, firefighters, international ambassadors, and community managers getting the work done and ensuring it is done right. In these pathways, students are part of a community committed to making the world a better place for all. You will collaborate with your classmates, learn from diverse perspectives and experiences, and build on your foundation of knowledge to develop skills you can immediately put into practice to lead the change you are most passionate about. This helps students connect what they learn to real-world projects in their chosen career or interest plan.
