About Mrs. Hertz

Hi there. I'm a career-long educator -  first as a high school English teacher and for the past 25 years, as an elementary and middle school librarian. After so long, I'm really excited to be back in a high school again. My goal is to make our library a vibrant place of learning where everyone feels welcome and everyone finds themselves in one of our books. My best days at school are when a hesitant reader returns to tell me they actually read and enjoyed a book based on my recommendation – and then they ask me for another. I love talking about books and what you've been reading. I'm really into music, love reading poetry, mysteries, and true crime, and I'm an animal lover. Now that I'm in Guam, I hope to get back into snorkeling and exploring hidden, beautiful spots on this island. I look forward to meeting you soon in the library!  Please stop by and say hello!
