The Kochelsee is a beautiful lake at the base of the Alps. The name is based on the Old High German field name Cochalon, which means 'near the pointed hills'. It also has a major tourist trade, making it one of the most popular locations in the region. In addition to swimming, walking and boat trips, the region is ideal for hiking, and has many gorgeous views!
