Google Updates & Chrome Extension Hints
Find out about changes recently made in GAFE along with some hints, best practices and workarounds for some of the new restrictions. We will also look at Chrome and how to work with extensions.
Google Meet Breakout Rooms
Google Meet Breakout Rooms can allow students to collaborate online with easier monitoring of the Google Meet sessions by the educator. This session is geared towards upper elementary, middle and high school.
Groups such as project teams, departments, or classmates can communicate and collaborate using Google Groups. If you want to invite a group to an event or share documents with a group, you can send a single email to everyone in the group. You can also create an online forum to discuss an issue or answer questions about a project (think of possible classroom applications).

Start the year off by learning how to be more efficient with Google Chrome and then sharing these tricks with your students. We will look at ways to organize bookmarks and provide additional Chrome hints & tricks.
Wixie has some wonderful updates that make connecting to Google Classroom easier. There are also some wonderful opportunities to collaborate and communicate. Attend this training to learn more.
Google Classroom (Using a “Shell” class)
If you collaborate with a grade-level team or teach multiple sections of the same course in different google classrooms then you can benefit from creating a “shell” course to push content to your other classrooms. This session will demonstrate how to use a shell classroom to create topics, assignments, and material in one classroom and push it to other classrooms.
Using Content from Benchmark Advance in PearDeck and Smart Learning Suite Online for Blended Learning (Elementary School Only)
Benchmark Advance has created some great digital learning resources that you can use remotely or in person while adding features from PearDeck or Smart Learning Suite Online to take student learning and engagement to the next level.
Uploading videos and building playlists are a great way to share video lessons and content with students. This session will demonstrate how to use YouTube features to create playlists and share playlists with students.

(Elementary School Only)
Support growth over time with authentic assessments with Seesaw. Use templates for culminating choice projects, empower self-assessment with rubrics and use folders to see growth over time.
Creating a Cell Phone App Using Google Slides
You can create a classroom cell phone ‘app’ for providing resources & quick contact information to your students & parents. You can also have students create ‘Apps’ as an alternate way of doing presentations
