Dr. Christina Cereghini is my name and teaching is my passion. I have had the privilege of being an educator for 20 years, all in Little Rock, AR before arriving in North Carolina in 2019 to begin my DODEA journey in Brewster Middle School at Camp Lejeune. I began the 2022-2023 school year traveling to Sigonella Elementary. Four years later and as we begin the 2025-2026 school year, I look forward to learning and growing more each day alongside all my students!
Throughout my teaching experience, I have taught multiple grade levels and various subject areas. All of these have prepared me to focus on the needs of students and learning growth. As a life-long learner myself, I have completed my doctorate in Reading and Literacy with a focus in Adolescence and Digital Literacy. I have loved learning since I was three, my first memory that learning things was fun, and it has not stopped since.
Through collaboration with a fantastic team of inspirational and devoted teachers, I am dedicated to providing my students a developmentally sound foundation for a lifetime of learning. At Sigonella Elementary, I endeavor to create and maintain an environment where students feel safe, cared for, and empowered to take control of their own learning and flourish by analyzing the world around them. We will think critically about our world in a collaborative environment.
I am collaborating with all teachers to work on facilitating multiple learning opportunities that will allow students to succeed here at Sigonella. The goal of this program is for students to emphasize developing potential, identifying and meeting students’ advanced learning and affective needs, and matching them to services, beginning in kindergarten. Students will have the opportunity to explore and will be asked to become actively engaged in written, oral, and visual communication. They will be encouraged to think creatively and think often!
