My name is Brian Winbush. I am currently a high school sophomore based in Los Angeles, CA. I'm African American and Hispanic, and am passionate about various social issues such as America's border crisis, illegal dog breeding, and free, quality education for all students in America. I am passionate about projects relating to research writing, creative writing, graphic design, and filmmaking. I have experience in graphic design as part of DVC's Peer Mentor Social Media Team and DVC Leadership Digital Content Team. I have experience in Marketing as Co-Executive Director and Outreach Director at Connect Lingo. I aspire to go to a 4 year college subsequent to high school (undecided on major), but then go to law school after that. I aim to go to a top UC such as UC Berkley or UCLA.
Some fun facts (because this all can't be serious):
I played every sport imaginable as a child before committing to track in high school (still love watching my Rams and Dodgers)
I love dogs (I have an Australian Shepherd named Zara)
My first language was Spanish
I'm an only child (I didn't know this was rare until recently)
