After delayed filming due to unforeseen circumstances I filmed Petite Chou-fleur 3 days. This was stressful due to planning and writing a script that was suppose to take around 4 or 5 days. Due to needing to film inside a pub venue shoots had to start early to finish before opening time so filming over the 3 days we only had 8am-12am to finish filming. We successfully finished up filming inside of the pub even with complications with equipment we were given (it was very last minute and we took what we could) however due to rushed filming we had to edit the script live so while scenes were being filmed I would be writing new and editing old scenes on the script and needing my actors to learn the new shortened scenes, which they managed well and we did film and get good takes of. Another issue did arrive when having to film inside of the home setting however due to exhaustion from the heat and the pub filming early in the mornings cast and crew would need breaks cutting more time away from film time and some even got ill due to exhaustion. I managed to get a good amount of footage thanks to the cast holding on as much as they could but there was about 3 scenes that was missing and had to be fixed in editing to make the story still work. This production was definitely a good experience on the work and preparation needed for a larger production as a director and in the film industry. I am very lucky I had cast and crew who were willing to put in the work in. My next project I work on I will make sure to confirm the work load does not go over the work I can actually produce in the time and with the resources I have at hand, this FMP was stressful to say the least given another chance with more time I would improve my script and have a proper finished project as much stress and work this was I really enjoy the themes and proposal idea I had. I think i would solo direct due to my co-director and I not communicating the work properly so we had ideas individually that we needed the sort on the day that ate our time.
