Accepted education majors participated in a a multi-part learning program called STEM-EL, consisting of 6-10 credits of coursework.

Cohorts 1 and 2 participated in two content courses, ELED 305 and PHYS 102 and a week-long internship during summer 2022 and 2023 at STARBASE.

The BSU STEM-EL project aimed to serve the national interest by creating and studying a science education program that effectively prepared elementary pre-service teachers to possess the content knowledge and pedagogical skills necessary to develop and implement successful experiences for elementary students with a focus on English learners.
