About Me

Welcome to my page! My name is Mrs. Katie Capetola and I am a fifth grade teacher at Gilbertsville Elementary.  I was born and raised in Delaware County, where I was a graduate of Cardinal O’Hara High School. I completed my undergraduate studies at Shippensburg University and post-graduate programs at Arcadia University and Holy Family University. My degrees earned are listed below. This is my 9th year in Boyertown, but my 15th year of teaching. I have previously taught at Chester Community Charter School, Colonial School District, and Chichester Middle School. I have had the luxury to work with students of all abilities over the years, which enables me to adapt lessons and teach to each child's individual needs.

Degrees Earned:

~ Masters in Educational Leadership with a principal certification.

~ Masters of Education with Special Education concentration: Arcadia University

~ B.A.: Shippensburg University

~ Certificates: Elementary Education, Mid-level Math, Special Education, Educational Leadership

Family and Me:

I am one of four girls in my family, and we have lots of kids running around. I have 5 nephews and 6 nieces. I also have two girls and a boy of my own.  Gia is 7 and Charlotte (Charli) is 5 and Nico is 2.  My husband and I are so in love with them, but boy do they keep us on our toes! My husband, Jimmy, owns and operates our local landscape company, JC Outdoors Landscape Contractors. I love the beach, all sports-GO BIRDS!, and coffee. I have a big sweet tooth too. I am an adrenaline junkie and have been skydiving 3 times (before kids).
