First Year

In my first year of research, I focused on the BRCA2 gene, a tumor suppressor gene that, when mutated, greatly increases the chance of developing breast cancer. I designed an experiment to determine how BRCA2 mutation affects breast cancer proliferation and metastasis in mouse models.
